About me

I was born in Italy and spent my childhood in Ecuador and my teenage years in Brazil. I speak 5 languages – but my dreams are in English. I have been a fashion designer, manufacturer, entrepreneur and inventor prior to becoming a massage therapist.

In my previous career as a fashion designer I came across an opportunity to develop a garment for women with breast cancer who had undergone a mastectomy. In 1998, I invented a garment that supported a prosthetic breast as well as the existing one. This undergarment helped these women feel better about themselves by being able to look as normal as possible in their most intimate and personal moments. I closed my company in 2000 due to the weak American economy and the difficulty of producing apparel domestically.

My hands are my gift, so I decided to enroll in massage school. Instead of just making women feel good from the outside, I could help both men and women feel good both inside and outside. I graduated massage school in December of 2004 and began to build my private practice. Since then, I have attended seminars and received many certifications such as Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Trigger Point Therapy, Amma, Myofascial Release, Reiki and more, which I combine as appropriate in a massage treatment.

In 2006, I began to develop a brand new technique for the release of chronic neck, shoulder and low back pain. I call it “K3D Therapy” (Kalef 3-Dimensional Therapy). K3D works the back, front and sides of the body simultaneously. This specialized therapy has proven to be quite effective and therapeutic in the release of chronic neck and shoulder pain as well as low back pain. The release and the relief experienced after this treatment is incomparable. The results of this treatment have been astounding; many clients have experienced immediate relief from pain after the first treatment. Some have even mentioned that their sinuses became cleared and they could breathe better. My clients that have gotten massages in many other modalities have told me they have never received a massage like this one, and most importantly never received one that produced such positive and long-lasting results.

Massage Therapy turned out to be a wonderful career choice for me. It is very gratifying to help people feel better – especially when I generate substantial results for my clients.
